Islam is the second largest religion in the world—and
swiftly closing the gap with Christianity. The largest Muslim nation in
the world is not even in the Middle East.
Islam is making extensive encroachments into American life.
Over 1200 mosques dot the American landscape from California to New York—over
half of which have been founded in the last two decades. Politicians now freely
include Muslims in their allusions to the social fabric of the nation. Attempts
are being made to include the teaching of Islam in the public schools.
The seminar addresses such questions as:
Who was Muhammad?
What is the religion of Islam?
What are Islam’s central doctrines?
Who are the Sunnis and Shi’ites?
Why do Muslim terrorists hate Americans?
Does the Quran possess the attributes of inspiration?
Are Christianity and Islam compatible?
What should Christians do?
Dave Miller is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University,
where he earned a B.A. degree in speech and Bible. He earned his M.A. degree in
speech communication from Texas Tech University, and his M.Th. and M.A.R. from
the Harding Graduate School of Religion. He also is a graduate of Southern
Illinois University, where he earned his Ph.D. in speech communication. For over
30 years, he has served in various capacities for churches of Christ, including
pulpit preacher, director of a school of preaching, and host of the nationally
televised program, “The Truth in Love,” which airs on GBN (gbntv.org).
As Executive Director of Apologetics Press, he also serves in the Bible
Department. Dr. Miller is the author of numerous articles and books, including
The Quran Unveiled, Sexual Anarchy, and Piloting the
Strait, a highly acclaimed volume examining the problem of contemporary
changes in the church. He appears on lectureships and conducts weekend seminars
and Gospel meetings 40-50 weekends a year. In addition to speaking on a wide
range of biblical subjects, Dr. Miller specializes in presenting seminars on the
topics, “The Silencing of God: The Dismantling of America’s Christian Heritage,”
“Islam, the Quran, and New Testament Christianity,” “A Trip Through the Bible,”
and “Must Churches of Christ Change?”
