§ Infallibility of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16)
§ Authority of elders (1 Peter 5:1-5)
§ Worship on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7)
§ Male spiritual leadership (1 Timothy 2:8-15)
§ Local congregational autonomy (Titus 1:5)
§ Age of accountability for baptism (no infant
baptism) (Ezekiel 18:20)
§ No instrumental music in worship; a cappella music only (Colossians

Our
Elders

Bill Ball
and John Eriksen
Bill Ball has lived in Manitou Springs
since 1980, with several absences due to military service and
employment. Bill became a Christian in 1960 at the age of 16.
He has served as an elder in Brandon,
England; Stuttgart, Germany; and Colorado Springs. Bill and his wife of
40 wonderful years, Janel, have two married daughters, both
with Christian husbands, and four grandchildren.
John Eriksen has been a Christian
since 1985 and a member of the Pikes Peak congregation since 1991.
He began serving as an elder in 2006. John grew up in
Massachusetts and North Carolina. He went on to spend 23 years in
the U.S. Air Force where he flew in various fighter aircraft and served
in assignments across the United States and around the world, including
the Pentagon.
John and his wife Chun Hui have three
children.
Our Ministers
Grady Miller has preached for the Pikes Peak church since March,
2001. He, his wife Darleen and daughter Taryn are blessed to live in
Colorado Springs and work with this loving and supportive congregation.
Grady has more than thirty years experience in local ministry.
Kevin Ballard and Grady Miller
Kevin Ballard has served as our
Youth and Evangelism Minister since 2004. He, his wife Kelly and
sons Patrick and Alex make a profound impact in every area of service.
Kevin has been involved in local preaching ministries for over twenty
years.
Our Deacons
Herb Adams manages the
congregation's involvement in missions and benevolence. Herb and his
wife Nita have been Pikes Peak members since 1972.
George Bunger performs special
studies and projects. George and his wife Judy have been involved in the work
at Pikes Peak since 1973.
Dave Derryberry conducts evangelism and personal work efforts. Dave and his wife Linda have been part of the Pikes
Peak congregation since 1984.
John Gentry plans worship services, special events, and advertising
including web site maintenance. John and his wife Camille have
been in the Pikes Peak family since 1997.
Dave Gorman keeps the congregation's education program vibrant and
relevant; organizes all Sunday School and Wednesday night classes,
Ladies' Bible Class and Vacation Bible School. Dave and his wife Debbie
have been a part of the Pikes Peak church since 1993.
Larry Hanson makes sure transportation needs are met; whether to
worship or to the doctor's office, Larry and his volunteers can help you
get there. He and his wife Laura have been involved in the Pikes Peak
church of Christ since 1993.
Tim Hawkins looks to the future, developing congregational plans and
the annual budget. Tim and his wife Susan have been at Pikes Peak since
2004.
Bob Marshall ensures our
facilities are safe, clean and well-maintained. Bob and his wife
Sherry have been at Pikes Peak since 1992.
Mark McClurg plans for future facilities for
the Pikes Peak church. Mark is managing and
guiding the entire process from fundraising and building
site selection to building design and construction. Mark
and his wife Susie have been involved with the Pikes
Peak family since 2003. |
